On Sunday, Sept 11th, the OIT DBA team, in coordination with Oracle’s Platinum services team, will begin the quarterly patching required by Security & Compliance on the Production Oracle database server. The non-production patching has already been completed with no issues. Systems dependent on Oracle databases will be unavailable during maintenance.
The patching is scheduled to begin on Sunday at approximately 2:00 am during the standard maintenance window. The patching could take up to 16+/- hours but databases will only be unavailable during the first 6-8 hours. We anticipate all Oracle databases to be available by 12:00 pm.
